Jacqui Zadik

Nowadays we communicate constantly, but we struggle to do it effectively: how something so natural turns out to be so hard? In today’s podcast we are joined by Jacqui Zadik, a Canadian freelance writer and communication expert who shares with us some of her knowledge in interacting with others.  Jacqui invites us to  find new ways to connect with one another in a higher and more respectful way in order to have a positive and effective communication.

Highlights:

  • The importance of actively listening to the other person or carefully reading a text message during a conversation in order to understand correctly what the other person is trying to say and not jump to mistaken conclusions.
  • Jacqui strongly believes that whenever possible, it’s best to have verbal communication over phone or voice message because it’s much more intimate and understandable than having a simple text conversation.
  • Because of technology, Jacqui believes that most conversations are held over text messages or emails, and deeper face-to-face conversations are lacking.
  • Trusting in your own abilities and talents and believing in yourself should encourage you to take chances and not hold back because of fear anymore.
